A committee reviewed and agreed upon the 2011 Connecting the Parish & Home Grant winner.  We encourage all of you to read through the available grant ideas on Illumination Learning and talk to your parish priest and church school director about helping to implement one or more of these ideas in your home town parish. PLEASE send us an email and tell us how you implemented the projects and we will happily share it with everyone on Illumination Learning!  (Send to contact@illumination-learning.com)  Here is a list of the criteria the committee used while evaluating the grant proposals:

All grant proposals were graded on a scale of 0 - 3  (0 = met none of the criteria, 1 = met some of the criteria, 2 = met the criteria, 3 = exceeded the criteria)

Theme:  The proposal embraces the theme of connecting the parish to the home

Financial Viability:  Either additional funds are available or the grant covers the entire cost

Repeatability:  The proposal is easily scalable and adaptable to other parishes

Time Frame:  The proposal can be implemented within one year after the conference

Longevity:  The program will continue for at least five years

Organization:  The parish has a specific plan of action with specific goals and target dates

Growth:  The proposal has the ability to expand in scope and size
